In the quiet gated community of Shagbark you will find this newly renovated gem. Easy to access with paved roads plenty wide for 2 cars and only up the mountain for a half mile. Serene wooded views you can enjoy on the front or back porch in the morning with your coffee. Soak in the hot tub after a long day of activities in town or hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

This gated resort community offer 24-hour security, a swimming pool, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Pool Access Memorial-Labor Day and is 1 mile from the cabin.

Living Room
Relax in the cozy living room — featuring a stone, gas fireplace, couch, loveseat, armed chair, and ottoman, and a large flat-screen TV! Catch up with one another or make plans for the day. In the evenings flip on the TV for a bit of entertainment or read a few pages from your favorite book by the fireplace.

Kitchen
Step into the fully equipped kitchen for meal prep, coffee refills, snack attacks, and cookie time. Fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher plus cutlery, cookware, mugs, dinnerware, and more. Additional bar space for meal prep and serving or additional seating (3 bar stools).

Dining Area
Along with eating scrumptious meals, bring board and card games from home and host a friendly game in the dining area. There is a table with 6 chairs. There’s even a bonus island with extra counter space and bar seating for 3 to make fixing and serving meals simple. Create a breakfast buffet, set out a lunch spread, and serve dinner for 6 with ease.

Bedrooms
Exploring the great outdoors, shopping in town, and playing at the cabin will certainly leave everyone ready for bed at the end of each day. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 loft bedroom. The downstairs bedroom is equipped with a king-size comfy bed, a large flat-screen TV, and an en-suite full bathroom with a private soaking tub and standup shower enclosure.. Upstairs you will find a loft bedroom with a comfy full-size bed and one bedroom with a comfy queen bed. You will find a full bath on the second level with a shower/tub combination. With 2 full bathrooms (1 soaking tub and shower bathroom and the other has a shower/tub combo) everyone will be able to get ready for morning hikes and evening dinner shows without a hassle.

Outside
Enjoy the back deck day or night. Relax in the hot tub under the stars. Grill up your favorite picnic on the gas grill. Sip on your morning coffee or catch up on the daily news while sitting at the table and enjoying the quiet nature surroundings. The front deck has rocking chairs to unwind from the day.

Location: Approximately 1 mile to the community pool. Approx. 8 miles to Pigeon Forge, 16 miles to Gatlinburg, 13 miles to the Smoky Mountain National Park, and 27 miles to Cades Cove.

This location requires a $5 parking pass which we pay for the first vehicle. Additional vehicles will be paid for after booking and before arrival. Tag and vehicle info will be required to place you on the guest list.

It is a very nice cabin and located in a perfect spot, hidden away but ten minutes away from pigeon forge. The only issue was the water. My wife went to take a bath and the water smelled like sewage. We called the maintenance and was told the water softener system had to be reset, so I went out and reset it and it still didn’t change the smell. I would imagine the hurricane had something to do with it so I’m not putting it against them but definitely wasn’t the best shower. The hot tub was not what I was expecting, the jets are lacking power and the lights were not able to turn on. We were looking forward to staying in there every night but after the first night we decided against it.

Overall great rental would definitely come back. Only suggestion is a better cleaning the furniture and blinds very dusty we also found food under the coffee table when we came in. Other than that great fully equipped with everything and more that we needed.

Definitely recommend driving in during the day rather than night so you get a better idea of the winding roads. Was impressed with how nice the pots and pans were for cooking. I've stayed in cabins before where the cookware was awful. Was a little sad the jacuzzi tub was out of order but I just enjoyed the hot tub. Loved sitting on the front and back porch and just relaxing. The layout and openness of the Floorplan is perfect.

I absolutely loved it here !! Living in a large metro area and then coming here for relaxing vacation was amazing. It is a very quiet to stay. I loved sitting in the hot tub at the end of the day and having a beer. It rained several days which made it that much better to just sit around and relax i would definitely book it again.

The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our family of 4 including two kids, 3 and 5. The location was perfectly secluded but an easy drive into Pigeon Forge or even Gatlinburg wasn’t too far. The hot tub on the back deck was very relaxing to take in all the fall colors. Comfortable beds and furniture and the entire cabin was very clean. Loved having the washer and dryer so we could do laundry throughout the week and even before we went home to take clean clothes home for easy unpacking. Definitely recommend!

Such a amazing cabin in the woods. It’s hard to tell when looking at pictures of other cabins online if you will truly be surrounded by trees and not have a neighbor right next to you. Well this place didn’t disappoint. We loved sitting in the hot tub with all the nature around. We left the blinds open the whole time, because no houses were close enough to see in. The kids loved the loft area. This was definitely the true cabin experience we were looking for, but I didn’t have to rough it at all. I am definitely a snob when it comes to staying places. It was perfect!

The cabin was very nice and clean. The hot tub was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. The cabin looked just like the pics online except they upgraded some of the appliances which was very nice!! Had no issues finding the place and security at the gate was helpful. The only issue with the cabin was the water smell but was told it’s well water and there wasn’t anything that could be done about it unfortunately. We used the daily attractions feature to ride the mountain coasters and visited the small theme park in town. Overall, the cabin was very nice, clean, and exactly what I expected. Will stay again and highly recommend!

The cabin we stayed in on our vacation was very nice. It made being away from home not feel so bad because we felt like we were at home. Everything was clean and there were so many things available for us to use that we didn't need to go out much. The only complaint I have and it's not really a complaint is that the water had a foul smell to it when bathing...hopefully that will be fixed the next time we visit but if not it won't turn us away.

We enjoyed our stay in The Wild Life cabin. The Bear Tracts hosts communicated very well and we had all the information we needed prior to and during our stay. We had one minor maintenance related issue, but it was taken care of same day. We were able to use all the amenities provided in the cabin and enjoyed cooking meals in the cabin as well as bringing back some local fare (Apple Barn to go and Boss Hogs BBQ). We took advantage of a few of the free ticket offers and that process was smooth. We loved the Big Creek expedition rafting trip! The cabin location is nice and provided good seclusion. We did see a black bear the first night, so please be careful and secure all your food and trash. Take care and protect the bears by being responsible!!!

We enjoyed our vacation very much n felt right at home. Everything was as described; April & Matt were very responsive. The guards were very friendly n helpful. The routes we found were very scenic n beautiful (drive carefully). We did notice a very strong sulfur odor coming from the water at bedtime n our 4yr old asked why his bath smelt like eggs; maybe the filters in the water filtration system need replacing...

Our family had a great time visiting The Wild Life. The cabin is close to local attractions, but far enough to feel secluded. The cabin amenities were as described, kitchen was well stocked, ample towels provided, and the OM-site washer & dryer was great to have. Everyone loved the hot tub. The outdoor grill was great. We also took advantage of the free attraction tickets & saved some $$. Would recommend to family & friends.

We got a late start so we had to arrive in the dark. Make sure to have all your information before arriving- Directions and Lock/ Wifi Codes. Upon arrival we were pleased to find the hot tub already warm. We were even more impressed by waking up to an astonishing Array of fall foliage. We also took a morning drive up Sugar Maple Loop and discovered the best Colors we have have seen. This is a must do for Nature Lovers. Matt and April are very easy to work with and do Answer the phone. Don't hesitate to stay here !

Our family of four enjoyed our almost week in the mountains and this cabin was perfect for our needs. Not too far from town but far enough to enjoy real peace and quiet. Never heard a neighbor. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the views. We will be back for sure!

It was very nice staying here in this cabin. It has everything you might need to have a perfect little getaway. The boyfriend and I had a wonderful time here!

We had a couple hiccups on our way there causing arrival to be much later than expected. April was very helpful and understanding, even assisted in finding a place to park our boat unexpectedly. Definitely re commend staying with them.

Omg if you ever get a chance this has been by far the best experience I've had in the smokies I cant wait to go back. I will definitely go back to the same cabin again. Would recommend for anyone to go you wont regret your stay truly awesome.

Professional processes for reservations and communications. Enjoyed a secure, remote, and relaxing well-furnished cabin, about 30 minutes from Sevierville, TN. Daily drives to activities were time-consuming on narrow, twisting roads. No bears sighted in July 2020 while friends saw them by Gatlinburg, TN.

This cabin is the perfect mountain getaway place. It was exactly as in the pictures, very clean, with lots of windows. There were some stormy nights and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and the sound of the rain on a metal roof. The hot tub was perfect on the cool nights. Private and quiet, felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, yet close to all the attractions. It was just what our family needed. Matt and April were so responsive and friendly every time I emailed or texted them. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a peaceful stay in the cabin. There were 5 of us. The hot tub was relaxing and used often by everyone. The wood smell when you walked in the door was amazing and fireplace was a favorite. We slept well in the beds, pillows were nice, and spacious rooms. The love seat had a tough time closing and the dryer ruined 2 loads of laundry. Hopefully, they will replace the appliance before another guest. The management company made it right.

This cabin was clean, great amenities, great internet speed, and perfect for spending time with your family. The management company was easy to communicate with and was extremely helpful. We will definitely request this cabin again and recommend to friends.

This rental is clean and quiet and out of view of the neighbors. It’s a windy way past the gates/guard house up the mountains to this cabin. A few things could use updating like the tub in the master and the dryer that leaves holes in your clothes. The property manager is attentive and helpful.
