Pigeon Forge Chuck Wagon Cookoff: A Family-Friendly Frontier Fiesta!

Experience the Western Spirit at the 2025 Chuck Wagon Cookoff in Pigeon Forge!

Pigeon Forge is thrilled to invite Western lifestyle enthusiasts, foodies, and anyone craving a hearty meal to the highly anticipated Chuck Wagon Cookoff Weekend! This three-day celebration is packed with exciting events, including an intimate dinner concert, cowboy church, and our annual cookoff competition.

Event Highlights:

  • Chuck Wagon Cookoff
Held at Clabough’s Campground, this unique outdoor cooking event brings history to life as chuck wagons recreate the mobile kitchens that sustained cowboys during cattle drives. Competitors, known as "cookies," use simple ingredients and fire-powered ovens to craft traditional dishes. Witness the preservation of these iconic trail days as teams compete for prizes in categories like meat, potatoes, bread, beans, and dessert—all prepared onsite with provided ingredients.

  • Authentic Chuck Wagons in Action
Don't miss the chance to see beautifully restored chuck wagons and their teams competing for the title of "Most Authentic Wagon." Chuck wagon cookoffs help preserve the legacy of the Old West while treating attendees to delicious, authentically prepared meals.
